But we'll put a pin in that argument for another day. In the late-1700s, we ushered in the power of steam and machines to make things. Through this new power, we went from economies based on handicrafts to economies based on large-scale industries.

Almost a century later, around the 1870s, we started to enter the Second Industrial Revolution (Industry 2.0). By now, we had electricity and the novel idea of mass-producing things using assembly lines.

Though there is some controversy around this, we feel we're currently in the middle of this Third Industrial Revolution (Industry 3.0).

Starting around the 2060s, we can expect everything to change once more. Some people say we're already there (controversy mentioned earlier), but we think there's still quite a way for us to go.
